DIEGO LOZANO

Born and raised in the vibrant city of Queretaro, Mexico, Diego Lozano was surrounded by artistry from an early age. Growing up in a household of artists, with an architect father and a photographer mother, it was natural for their creative influence to shape Diego's future path.

From a young age, Diego was drawn to music, theatre, and movies. At just eight years old, armed with his father's camera, he embarked on their first creative endeavor, creating stop motion animated films. This early exploration ignited a spark within Diego, leading him to study Classical Animation and Film Production at the Vancouver Film School in Canada.

During his time at film school, Diego delved deep into the technical aspects of filmmaking, particularly drawn to cinematography. He discovered a profound love for light and images, recognizing their profound ability to convey emotions and enhance storytelling.

Following his graduation, Diego quickly found his place in the film industry, immersing himself in various productions of different scales. His expertise in lighting propelled him to become a Gaffer and later a Director of Photography for different TV productions. In 2023, he joined the Canadian Society of Cinematographers as an Associate Member.
